Minix minecraft server online!

Post by shorun »

First up, you need to get the right modpack and launcher..
i myself use "atlauncher" but any that can run the modpack should work, search for pack "create extra" v1.5.2
then, download and add these mods to the instance

launch the game, select multiplayer, add the following server:
servername: your choice really, idk.
server adress: "vtchost.com"

Extended ATLauncher guide:
The modpack is called 'Create Extra' Make sure you have signed in via the 'Accounts' tab before trying to create a new instance.
ATLauncher will ask which version you want to install, pick 1.5.2 Fabric.

View your 'Instances' tab, select 'Open Folder' under 'Create Extra 1.5.2', navigate to 'mods' and put the files from the .zip inside.
When you hit 'Play', you will be prompted to update the modpack, ignore this. Everything should be set up properly to join the server.

If you're not using ATlauncher, you can download Create Extra from Modrinth here:
https://modrinth.com/modpack/create-extra/versions
Make sure you're downloading version 1.5.2 for Fabric, add the additional mods to whatever launcher you decide to use.

Note for accessibility:
On the top right, in your 'Multiplayer' tab, there is a checkbox for 'Record Server'. Uncheck this if you do not want to save game replays

Troubleshooting:

Create Big Cannons on this client uses a different network connection than the one on the server.
Caused by downloading the newest version of 'Create Extra' instead of 1.5.2, or accidentally updating instead of ignoring the prompt.
To fix, delete your instance and reinstall Create Extra 1.5.2

Internal exception java.net.socketexception connection reset.
Double-check that your firewall isn't blocking connections for ATLauncher.
This can also be caused by having things like hamachi installed, which can change your network settings.
On Windows, you can use the following commands in your command prompt:

Code: Select all

netsh interface tcp show global
netsh interface tcp set global rss=enabled
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal
Occasionally, mods from the .rar may be out of date or missing. Make sure you're downloading the most recently updated archive from this link
